Product Marketing Manager

My client is expanding and they are looking to add a Product Marketing Manager to support their growing firm.  The ideal candidate will come from a strong lab background and have several years of experience in a product management role. 
The ideal candidate will take on the following tasks:
  • Develop sales and marketing materials in support of robust sales and advertising activities
  • Assist with the management of the product life cycle strategy with clear goals, initiatives, and road maps
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of target customers and market space
  • Maintain and manage current and developing products including price-setting, organization, and maintenance of product systems and documentation
  • Liaise with customers, partners, and prospects to gather general data and detailed feedback for initiatives
  • Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and recommend enhancements and new products by gathering and analyzing market research, voice of the customer, defining requirements, and implementing new solutions
  • Assist field sales team in identifying and establishing high-level customer relationships
  • Provide regular training to our sales team on new products and offerings, as well as selling tools to advance our selling to one that is scientific application based
  • Provide strong technical expertise and application of cell biology and other scientific fields
 The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
  • BS/MS/PhD in Molecular Biology or similar, plus cell biology experience in biotech/pharma industry
  • Biotech marketing experience including social media, marketing automation software, and salesforce.com
  • Ability to understand customer applications and product needs through voice of the customer, sales channels and direct customer interactions
  • Exceptional technical content writing skills for producing white-papers and blogs
