Location: New Orleans, LA
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services. Manage the order picking and shipping of finished goods to customers. Manage the inbound receiving of raw materials into inventory. Manage the inbound and outbound transfer of ingredients and supplies to/from off-site locations. Ensure strict compliance to FIFO standards for raw ingredient and finished goods inventories.
  • Comply with company policies and requirements in the area of warehousing, able to comply to audit regulations and enforce adherence to requirements.
  • Safeguard warehousing operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; create damage prevention programs and improve warehousing efficiencies. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs.
  • Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development, counselling and resolving conflict; evaluate and manage competent department staff. Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
  • Achieve financial objectives by controlling assigned budget items, reduce freight cost, eliminate detention fees and improve customer service satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; obtain warehousing and logistics certifications.
  • Manage Fork Lift Fleet to include PM Schedules, as needed repairs, battery maintenance and battery charger maintenance.
  • Manage refuge, to include scheduled pick-ups of compactors, scheduling of open top dumpsters and invoice management for all containers.
  • Additional duties as assigned. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services. Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • AS Degree, Bachelor's preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
  • Strong written communication skills with a strong ability to collaborate and work well with cross-functional teams
  • Track record of successful process/project work and problem solving
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
